Thirty minutes on one marketing problem, free, for founders. You leave with something you can actually do on Monday. Three appointments a month, no 8am phone queue and nobody telling you to come back in 3 weeks if it is still there.
Free · Thirty minutes · Three appointments a month · You leave with it in writing
This is not an intro call
There is a button at the top of this site that says Request an Intro Call. That is a different thing, and it is for working out whether we should work together. If that is what you want, use it. I am happy to have that conversation.
The Marketing Surgery is not that. You bring one problem, I give you my actual read on it, and you get the 3 or 4 things I would do in writing afterwards. You leave with output, not with a proposal.
I hold 3 of these a month. If this month is gone I will tell you when I reply and hold you at the front of the queue for the next one.
The bit where I declare an interest
I am not a neutral party. To drop the medical thing for a moment in favour of another; I am the mechanic who tells you what is wrong with your car and also happens to fix cars. But this session comes with no commitment or catch.
I run a marketing advisory business. If I think you should hire me, I will say so once, put a number next to it and you can say no. That is the entire commercial element and it takes about 90 seconds of the 30 minutes.
The reason the appointment is free is straightforward. Half an hour of my actual thinking is a better argument for hiring me than anything I could write on a web page, and I would rather you judged the work than the website. It suits me either way.
What happens
Three steps, from form to follow-up.
- 01
Registration
Three questions on the form below. About 5 minutes. I read every one myself.
- 02
The appointment
Thirty minutes on a call. I will ask questions first, then give you my honest read on the problem you brought.
- 03
The prescription
A short email afterwards with the 3 or 4 things I would do, in the order I would do them.
What I cannot do in 30 minutes
I cannot examine everything. Nobody can review your website, your funnel, your data and your positioning inside half an hour, and anyone telling you otherwise is selling you something less honestly than I am.
So bring one problem. The one you keep going round in circles on. That I can help with.
Who should book
Founders and owners of organisations of roughly 2 to 200 people who are already spending money on marketing and are no longer sure it is working. I am strongest in technology, IT, cyber, SaaS and professional services, though the problems are rarely as sector specific as people expect.
If you are not spending anything yet, there is nothing to diagnose. Before You Spend is a better place to start. It takes about 10 minutes, it is also free and it will tell you more than I could in half an hour.
Why only 3 appointments a month
Because I read your notes before you arrive. Whatever you send me, I go through it beforehand, so the 30 minutes goes on your problem rather than on background. That takes time I have to ration.
Book an appointment
Three questions. Answer them properly and the appointment will be better. I read every one and reply either way, usually within 3 working days.
If you want more than 30 minutes, that is the paid work and it is described on the advisory page.
