A clear diagnosis, then a plan you can act on

A fixed-scope, fixed-price look at your marketing that tells you what is working, what is not and exactly what to do next. Three levels, depending on how far you want to go. No retainer, no open-ended commitment and no lock-in.

Who this is for

The right fit, stated plainly

This is not for everyone. It is most useful when you are about to spend, or already spending, and want to know it is going to the right place. It tends to fit best if you recognise yourself here.

  • You are spending on marketing but cannot say with confidence what is actually working
  • You suspect the real problem sits upstream of the tactics, in the strategy or the positioning
  • You are about to increase spend, or brief an agency, and want confidence before you commit
  • You have activity happening but no clear, prioritised plan tying it together
  • You are the founder still making the marketing decisions yourself, and you would rather not be
What you get

The same thinking at every level

Every level runs the same framework. What changes is how deep it goes, what gets built for you and how long I stay involved afterwards.

01

The full seven pillars. Market, message, brand, offer, acquisition, conversion and retention. I assess your marketing against all seven at every level, because the order they sit in is where most marketing money gets wasted.

02

A verdict, not a scorecard. Findings presented plainly, with evidence. No jargon and no vague ratings. A clear read on what is working, what is not and why, backed by what I actually found.

03

Priorities, not a wish list. Not a hundred things to fix. The few that matter most, in the right order, so you know exactly where to start on Monday.

04

A working session to hand it over. We walk through it together so you understand the thinking, not just the document, and you leave ready to act.

The three levels

Pick how far you want to go

Each level builds on the one before it. If you start small and want to go further, the fee you have already paid comes off the next one.

Growth Diagnostic

£950

Best if you are not yet sure where the problem is

A fast, honest read on where your marketing actually stands.

Your time:
2 hours
Turnaround:
5 working days
  • A 90-minute call and a review of your site and materials
  • A verdict on all 7 pillars, with the moves for each
  • The 3 things to fix first
  • One honest challenge
  • A written summary of the findings, walked through live

The fee comes off a Growth Review in full if you go further within 30 days.

MOST CHOSEN

Growth Review

£2,950

Best if you know there is a problem and want the answer and the plan

The full diagnosis and a prioritised plan you can act on, with or without me.

Your time:
5 hours
Turnaround:
3 weeks
  • Everything in the Diagnostic, at full depth
  • Your numbers and materials reviewed, plus interviews with 2 to 3 of your people
  • All 7 pillars in full: what is working, where it leaks, the moves and a quick win for each
  • The next 90 days, as 5 to 8 prioritised actions
  • The full written review, handed over in a 2-hour session
  • Annexes you keep: a tiered offer structure, 2 case study templates and a how-it-works process map

The fee comes off your first month if you move to Advisory within 60 days.

Growth Plan and Sprint

£6,950

Best if you already know you will not have time to act on a plan alone

The review, the assets built for you, and 90 days of getting it done.

Your time:
5 hours, then 1 hour a fortnight
Duration:
90 days
  • Everything in the Growth Review
  • A competitive and market landscape. Who you actually lose to, how they position and where the gap is
  • A messaging and positioning framework. The one thing your market should believe, with the proof points and the objection handling
  • A homepage and key page rewrite. Actual copy, ready to hand to a developer
  • A costed 12-month plan. Channels, sequence, budget and what to stop
  • 6 fortnightly working sessions across 90 days, with a refreshed priority list each time
  • Direct access between sessions and a closing review of what moved

Most people move to Advisory at the end of the 90 days. That is a choice, never a condition.

All ways to work

Not ready for this yet? I hold a small number of free Marketing Surgery appointments each month.

The process

Four steps, no surprises

01

A short call

Twenty minutes on where you are and what you are trying to do. If a review is not the right next step for you, I will say so.

02

Fixed scope, fixed price

We agree exactly which level, what is included and what it costs before anything starts. One price, no surprise invoices.

03

The work

I review everything you give me against the seven pillars. The quality of the review tracks the quality of what I am given, so I will tell you upfront what would help.

04

The handover

We go through it together, so you understand the thinking rather than just receiving a document. What happens next is your decision.

Client result

“In a really competitive market, Chris expertly helped us to optimise our marketing and sharpen our positioning to really stand out and better engage new customers. Not only are we now seeing over a 40% increase on customer conversion from marketing, but we’re wasting far less time and money on stuff that just wasn’t and won’t create new customers or revenue.”

Questions

The things people ask before they commit

What if it just tells me what I already know?

Then you will have paid to find out you were right, which is worth something on its own. In practice it is rarely what happens. Most people know something is not working. Very few can say which of the seven pillars it is failing at, or in what order to fix it, and that is the part that changes what you do next.

Do I have to buy anything else afterwards?

No. Every level is fixed scope and fixed price, and it ends when it ends. If it points to ongoing work, that is your choice to make afterwards and never a condition. It is written that way deliberately.

How much of my time will this actually take?

Two hours for the Diagnostic, five for the Review, and five plus an hour a fortnight for the Sprint. Those numbers are on this page because time is usually the real constraint, not the fee.

Which level should I pick?

Most people take the Growth Review, because it answers the question and gives you the plan in one go. Start with the Diagnostic instead if you want to test whether we work well together before committing to more. Go straight to the Sprint if you have been handed plans before and know, honestly, that they do not get acted on without someone holding you to them.

I already have an agency. Is this going to tread on their toes?

Usually the opposite. Most agency relationships underperform because the brief was thin, not because the agency is bad. A review gives them something clear to work against, and it is common for the work to improve within a month or two of handing it over.

What do you need from me to start?

Your website, whatever materials you put in front of customers, and honesty about the numbers. For the Review and the Sprint, some time with 2 or 3 of your people. That is it.

Next step

Get a straight answer on where your marketing stands.

A short, no-pitch conversation about where you are and which level, if any, is the right next step. If it is not what you need, I will tell you.

A fixed-scope diagnosis, not a sales call in disguise.
